Austin McKahan
Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri capturing moments became my life passion. Growing up, I was the little kid with a video camera or film camera in my hands. Annoyingly I am sure, I captured images of our family pug or my mom’s softball games. In college and beyond I furthered my talents and continued to refine my skills in photography, videography and live audio production. Now as a husband, father and a corporate professional I understand the value of quality images even more. My passion is to capture your moment and play a small role in your story of life.
The Shoal Creek Studio is located in the northland of Kansas City on a picturesque four acres. Home to a 100-year-old stone barn, it is perfect for rustic and family settings. Our namesake borders Shoal Creek. Adjacent to the studio is a walking trail with a steel and wooden footbridge. There is no shortage of unique photo opportunities. If you prefer a more urban environment, portraits can easily be taken within the Kansas City Metro.
